Welcome to AzwajaMatch (the "Platform"). By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Services ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering an account or otherwise accessing or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Platform. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that all registration information you submit is truthful and accurate. Our services are specifically for Muslims seeking marriage in accordance with Islamic principles.

3. Platform Services

AzwajaMatch provides an online matchmaking service for Muslims seeking marriage. Our process involves:

  • Profile Creation: Allowing users to create profiles with personal information, preferences, and a profile picture.
  • Matchmaking: Utilizing a combination of AI technology and our team's careful selection to suggest potential matches to users.
  • Mutual Acceptance: Enabling users to accept or reject suggested matches.
  • Chaperoned Communication: Upon mutual acceptance, providing a chaperone for all conversations between a man and a woman, conducted on the LINE application. Female users are welcome to invite their Wali to the conversation as well.

We explicitly adhere to the Sunnah by avoiding Khalwah (seclusion) in our communication process.

4. User Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your profile.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

5. Payments and Matching

  • To be eligible for matching, you must provide valid payment information. However, you will not be charged until you and your match have mutually accepted each other.
  • Our matchmaking service operates on a pay-per-match basis. The fee for each successful match will be clearly displayed on the Platform.
  • We also offer optional credits that can be purchased for additional features or benefits, as specified on the Platform. Purchasing credits is separate from the matching process and is not required to be eligible for matches.

6. Refund and Dispute Policy

We generally do not offer refunds for credit purchases once the credits have been used for a successful match. However, we may consider refunds on a case-by-case basis for unused credits or in situations where a match was not successfully facilitated.

To be eligible for a refund, you must submit a request within seven (7) days of the charge by emailing contact@azwajamatch.com. Requests submitted after this period will not be considered. Refunds are not provided for users who are suspended or terminated for violating our Terms of Service.

Before initiating a chargeback with your bank, we strongly encourage you to contact us to resolve any issues. Initiating a chargeback without prior communication may result in the immediate suspension or termination of your account.

7. User Content and Intellectual Property

User Content:

You retain ownership of the personal information you provide in your profile. By uploading a profile picture and other information, you grant AzwajaMatch a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and modify (e.g., for formatting purposes) this content solely for the purpose of providing the matchmaking services. This includes showing your profile to potential matches.

Platform Content:

All content on the Platform, including its design, software, text, graphics, and logos ("Platform Content"), is owned by or licensed to AzwajaMatch and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or otherwise use the Platform Content without our prior written consent.

8. User Conduct and Expectations

You agree to use the Platform in a respectful and lawful manner, consistent with Islamic values.

You are prohibited from engaging in any form of harassment, hate speech, or any other inappropriate behavior.

Chaperoned Communication:

All initial communication between matched users will be chaperoned on the LINE app. Attempting to contact a match privately outside of this chaperoned setting may result in account suspension without refund.

Match Termination:

  • Matched users will have a limited initial period to decide if they wish to continue the conversation.
  • Beyond this initial period, continuation of a conversation is subject to weekly satisfaction checks completed by both parties. The outcome of these checks may lead to the termination of the match.
  • This system is in place to discourage ghosting.

9. Disclaimers

  • AzwajaMatch provides a platform to connect individuals for the purpose of marriage but does not guarantee successful matches or relationships.
  • We are not responsible for the conduct of users, whether online or offline. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users.
  • We do not verify the accuracy or truthfulness of all information provided by users.
  • AzwajaMatch is a platform for matchmaking only and is not responsible for any legal or official marriage documentation, processes, or ceremonies. Users are solely responsible for ensuring they meet all legal requirements for marriage in their respective jurisdictions.
  • Should a match introduced via the Platform lead to marriage, AzwajaMatch bears no responsibility for the outcome, success, or any consequences of that marriage. Our role is strictly limited to facilitating the initial introduction.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AzwajaMatch shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Platform or your interactions with other users.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause and without notice, including for violations of these Terms. You may also terminate your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will cease immediately.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms on the Platform or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
